In just over a week I head out on a month-long road trip from Portland, Oregon to Minneapolis, Minnesota and back. I’m going to NerdCon: Stories, and I plan to have as much fun as possible on the way out and the way back.
But first, I’ve got to get the van ready.
So far the only addition I’ve made to the van is a simple bed frame and mattress (which has been working great since I started sleeping in the van at the beginning of this month).
My current goal: more storage space.
It’s with that purpose in mind that I perused the isles of the local Goodwill, and stumbled upon three good finds, with a whopping total cost of $8.97.
Find #1: Small Two-Level Rack
Purpose: To be determined.
Find #2: Towel Rack
Find #3: Food Cabinet
Purpose: Store peanut butter, honey, and bread.
With just these small additions, the van is starting to feel more like a home.
Next goal: storage containers for the space underneath the bed, and potentially a safe to bolt to the van floor (got suggestions? share them here).
