Van-Dwelling Workspace - Doug Neill

Creating A Workspace For Long-Term Van-Dwelling

I’m a bit of a workaholic.

I spend a lot of my time building educational materials for Verbal To Visual and Learn In Public.

That work won’t stop (nor do I want it to) when I hit the road on October 1st for a month-long road trip.

In order to not lose traction with that work, I’m going to need a space within my van where I can quickly grab my notebook and pen or open up my laptop and just get down to it.

By pure coincidence, a tool that I was planning to git rid of might end up being the perfect solution to my workspace dilemma: my old standing desk (well, the top half of it).

The two different levels of this desk are the perfect height – the lower aligns with the height of the windowsill, the upper allows me to use my bed as a bench and have just enough leg room.

Now I can pull the van over wherever and whenever I want to bust out some work.

That excites me more that it probably should 🙂

Happy travels,
